Caerleon
CAERLEON is the trademark name for Goldman Kolber’s flagship product line: a complete jewelry line with color functionality unlike any other. All of the center stone sare interchangeable, and all of the interchangeable centers (referred to by us as Bezels) will fit into a ring, pendant, necklace, bracelet or earrings. The entire Caerleon line has two primary bezel shapes, either square or oval. Every square bezel fits every square jewelry piece, and every oval bezel fits every oval jewelry piece. They do not fit the other shape.
Each Caerleon design family (Ceres, Juno, etc.) offers numerous choices for each type of jewelry use (rings, bracelets, earrings, etc.). Each piece is also offered in a multitude of precious metal options (referred to as finishes when you reach an item page on the Web Site). Most pieces are offered in a combination of Sterling Silver and 14K or Sterling Silver and 18K gold. The Drop Pendants and Earrings are offered in only 14K or 18K gold, to provide adequate strength. Gold is used exclusively on all moving parts (referred to as wings), clasps, and parts that require the extra durability of gold (such as the connectors on the bangle bracelets). Whether a part is 14K or 18K, we offer either yellow or white gold. All white metal, sterling or karat gold is Rhodium plated for color tone and finish durability.
Each piece of jewelry in each design family is also available with diamond accents.
The standard metal used on bezels is Sterling Silver for all colored stones (prefix BZS) and 14K white gold (prefix BZW) where diamonds are set. Some diamond or diamond accented bezels are white gold just where the diamonds are set, with the balance being Sterling Silver (prefix BZM). The web site will offer each metal available for each bezel listed as available finishes.

Behind the Name
Early in the first century AD as the Romans extended their empire into Southern Wales, the fortress city of Caerleon was built to guard this region. From this “City of the Legion,” they ruled for over three hundred years, in that time building a city that included an extensive series of Baths that served as a gathering place for the Roman elite. The Baths would unknowingly collect a treasure of carved gemstones in the drain systems that would be discovered nearly two thousand years later: the Gemstones of Caerleon.
After the Romans departed from Britain, a time of unrest followed which gave birth to the legend of King Arthur and Camelot. Many historians now believe that the actual location of King Arthur’s Court and the fabled Round Table was Caerleon.
A collection name inspired by the gemstone treasures of the Roman Empire and by the romance and pageantry of the Arthurian legend, Caerleon™ now defines a new age in fine designer jewelry.
